Gyroplane Pilot course

ULM pilot course: The Autogyro pilot course allows the student to obtain the official title that enables him to fly light aircraft. For this, it is necessary to carry out the corresponding theoretical and practical classes. Theoretical classes are taught at the Tte aerodrome. Gral. Vives de Robledillo de Mohernando, although we use other locations depending on the existing students in each course. We also use Skype and other tools to develop distance classes. The schedule of these theoretical classes will be agreed with the students, preferably on Saturday afternoons, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Practical classes are also held at the aerodrome, with flexible hours and fully adapted to the availability of students, from Monday to Sunday, making a prior reservation. In accordance with the new Royal Decree 123/2015 of February 27, 2015 that regulates the instruction to obtain the ultralight pilot's license, the flight instruction includes, at least, 15 hours of flight that will include 3 hours of " solo flight”, and during which no less than 20 takeoffs and landings will be made, a cross-country flight with a minimum duration of 60 minutes and a landing outside the field in which the instruction has been received. Experience, the type of school gyroplane and the ability to fly long distances with new technologies make these minimums insufficient, therefore, depending on the student's ability, these 15 hours of instruction may be increased until achieving the skill and ability necessary to fly safely for the student-pilot himself and others. Our experience tells us that in most cases between 20 and 25 hours are required. However, it will be the instructor who determines when the student is qualified to fly alone and when he is qualified to take the exam.
